How Does Emface Work?

Two technologies (Synchronized RF and HIFES) are deployed at the same time with precision and real-time feedback to enhance results. Synchronized RF heats the skin to encourage the production of collagen and elastin fibres, which gives a smoother, plumper and healthier skin texture. Facial muscles are the foundation of youthful appearance and facial rejuvenation. HIFES uses electromagnetic technology to contract, strengthen and lift specific facial muscles, which are essential in maintaining a strong and healthy facial support structure and tackling the root cause of facial aging.

What areas can be treated:
➢ Forehead (reduces wrinkles, lifts brows and improves hooded eyes)

You can treat the whole face in 2 x 20-minute sessions within one appointment (e.g. forehead and under eyes followed by cheeks and submentum)
No – you will feel a slight tingling and warmth but there should be no discomfort during your treatment. The treatment is needle free and does not require the application of numbing cream. 
 
There is no downtime required so you can walk out of your session looking refreshed, without any need for recovery. Some individuals do experience some redness and tingling sensation after the treatment, but this should subside within an hour and rarely lasts beyond 24 hours.
We recommend a minimum of four sessions – we will discuss the ideal number of sessions with you at your consultation as treatments and results vary depending on each individual’s goals and skin condition. Some patients see improvements in skin quality as early as the first session, while others may notice changes after two or more treatments.
 
Sessions are 20 minutes long, roughly one week apart over the course of 4 – 6 weeks depending on your personalised treatment plan. 
My clients notice changes after the first couple of treatments and most experience gradual changes during the course of their treatments. After your last session, your skin and muscle structure will continue to improve, with the best results approximately 3 months after your final treatment. 
 
Clients also experience long-lasting results – some up to a year (others even up to 2 years) dependent on lifestyle, age and other factors. You may opt for single maintenance sessions once or twice a year – it varies for each individual.
Yes! Emface is a great treatment to set the foundation for other treatments such as Botox, dermal fillers and laser treatments. If you’ve had injectables before, you can still have Emface treatments – we will discuss this with you before we recommend a bespoke treatment plan. 
 
It’s recommended to wait at least 2 weeks after your injections before starting Emface in order to allow for any bruising, swelling and soreness to disappear. If you are a fan of injectables, Emface can help to prolong the effects of Botox etc.
The beauty of Emface is that it’s for everyone – including those who have undergone dental work and especially for women going through the peri-/menopause and are experiencing rapid loss of collagen, which can be as much as 30% in the first few years of this journey. 
 
The treatment is great for individuals with mild to moderate signs of ageing, including loose skin, loss of facial definition, or early wrinkles. Whether you are looking for an alternative to invasive treatments such as Botox, or surgery, Emface is a great way to rejuvenate your face with natural lifting and facial contouring.
 
Major contraindications include cheek implants or active sores, lesions, or tattoos in the treated area.

• Wait one month after under-eye filler before treatment
• Discontinue retinol or retinoids three days before and after treatment
• Avoid excessive sun exposure for 2-4 weeks before the procedure
• Wait at least 3 months after lower blepharoplasty
Yes, it has been received clearance from regulatory agencies internationally, such as the FDA in the United States. It has also been tested in over 17 clinical studies, which have shown it to be a safe and effective treatment. Your individual circumstances will factor in to whether or not Emface is safe / suitable for you – this is something we will discuss with you during your consultation.
